I heard Dr. Hansen give a presentation on grape seed extract toward the end of June, 1995. I had severe psoriatic arthritis. At the time I was taking 10mg of Methotrexate and 175mg Indocin daily and I was still in severe pain. I could barely walk due to the arthritis and the psoriasis was raised, red and very ithcy. I am an insulin dependent diabetic and was scheduled for laser surgery on my eyes when my daughter got me to start taking grape seed extract. The surgery was necessary to stop the retinal hemorrhages that were caused by the high blood sugar. However, when I went in for the surgery, after one month on the grape seed extract, the doctor told me that the hemorrhages in my eyes had stopped and that I didn't need the surgery. Additionally, since taking the grape seed extract, the previously constant pain in my foot has stopped, my blood pressure has gone down, my blood sugar has dropped and I have been able to reduce my insulin intake.

About a year and a half ago, I developed bright red dots on my toes. A couple of weeks later, they started to become swollen and painful. Eventually, I couldn’t wear shoes.
