COLLAGEN & ELASTIN
FORMULA
The ingredients in
VENOCAP™ have been shown to protect the collagen and
elastin of the skin and blood vessels, helping to keep them supple
and young looking, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, varicose
veins, hemorrhoids,
and cellulite. VENOCAP™ may be used to promote healing post surgery,
repair of wounds, surgery burns, where it limited the shrinking,
swelling and scaring
of the skin, increased healing.
Standardized Centella
asiatica (Gotu kola) has been used effectively to
treat second and third-degree burns, where it limited the shrinking, swelling
and scaring of the skin, increased healing and decreased fibrosis. It has
also demonstrated an 80% success rate within three months in the treatment
of cellulite in a number of clinical trials.
Numerous studies have demonstrated that Centella is effective in the treatment
of varicose veins and spider veins. Approximately 80% of patients in the
clinical trials observed significant reduction in the heavy sensation, numbness,
tingling, night cramps, edema, and leg ulcers associated with varicose veins
of the lower legs.
Centella has also been shown in large numbers of clinical trials to greatly
improve the rate of wound healing without complications or the formation
of keloid scars. It has even been found to stimulate hair and nail growth
and to be effective in the treatment scleroderma.
Centella possesses the ability to stimulate proline and lysine incorporation
into collagen, and enhance the biosynthesis of the glycosaminoglycans the
fundamental non-collagenous unit of the connective tissue.
Vitis vinifera (Grape)
seed & skin extract contains a unique group
of flavanols known as Oligomeric Proanthocyanidin Complexes (OPC’s).
OPC’s possess a high affinity for collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycans
found in the blood vessel walls, skin stomach and intestinal linings, sinus
and respiratory membranes, and joint tissues. It is a potent antioxidant
that inhibits UV damage to the skin as well as free radical damage to the
connective tissue throughout the body. OPC inhibits the connective destroying
enzymes – collagenase and elastase that breakdown collagen and elastin.
It also improves capillary strength and reduces lower limb edema,
Aesculus hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) contains a high concentration of the triterpene saponin
Escin,
which possesses a marked ability to reduce
edema and inflammation. Aesculus also contains a significant amount
of Oligomeric Proanthocyanidin Complexes (OPC’s), providing additional
protection from free radical and enzymatic damage to the skin.
Hamamelis virginiana (Witch Hazel) contains hamamelitannin, catechin, Oligomeric Proanthocyanidin
Complexes
(OPC’s) and the gallic acid esters of proanthocyanidins.
These naturally occurring plant compounds were found to be potent
inhibitors of free radical damage caused by superoxide radicals,
hydroxyl radicals
and singlet oxygen radicals. Hamamelis has been found to be protective
against UVB irradiation damaged on skin fibroblasts. It has also
been found to be
very effective in enhancing the tone and reducing the appearance
of varicose veins.
