GLUCORIGHT™
is a unique, all natural, formula designed to help provide nutritional
support for the control of blood sugar. The ingredients in GLUCORIGHT
have been shown to help to improve insulin sensitivity, normalize
blood sugar levels, and protect the body from the damaging effects
caused by elevated glucose levels.
Lagerstroemia speciosa (Banaba tree leaf) has recently been
shown to produce dramatic drops in blood sugar levels of adult onset
diabetics. In 1999 a clinical study conducted at the Southeastern
Institute of Biomedical Research, Bradenton, Florida, found that
patients taking just 16 mg of Banaba leaf extract (standardized
to 1% Corosolic Acid) 3 times daily experienced a 31.9% drop in
their blood sugar in just two weeks.
The
results of the clinical trial showed that the higher the daily dose
of Banaba leaf extract the greater the drop in blood sugar without
any side-effects. Banaba leaf extract, like insulin, possesses significant
blood sugar transport-stimulating activity. This improves cellular
utilization of blood sugar resulting in the lowering of blood sugar
level.
Banaba leaf extract balances blood sugar levels by stimulating improved
transport-stimulating activity and cellular utilization. Additional
research has also shown that it possesses strong antioxidant activity,
preventing cell membrane damage and may help maintain healthy blood
pressure and kidney function.
Momardica Charantia (Balsam pear) is a tropical plant cultivated
in Asia, Africa and South America. It contains Charantin, which
has been found to be a more potent oral hypoglycemic agent than
tolbutamide in equivalent doses. It appears to increase insulin
sensitivity as well as stimulate increased insulin production.
Gymnema sylvestra is an Indian rainforest vine. Studies have
shown that it increases enzymatic activity involved in glucose utilization,
promotes regeneration of Islets of Langerhans and increases circulating
insulin levels.
Vanadyl
Sulfate is an important mineral that possesses a broad spectrum
of Insulin like activities. It increases glucose uptake into muscle
and fat, lowers elevated levels of sugar in the blood and decreases
the production of sugar by the liver. Vanadium appears to work on
the same metabolic pathways in the body as does Insulin but in a
different way. It appears to both mimic and enhance the effects
of Insulin. Human studies have shown that daily doses of 100-150
mg of Vanadyl sulfate can effectively reverse the diabetic condition,
which did not return when the Vanadyl sulfate was stopped.
Chromium
is an essential component of Glucose Tolerance Factor,
which increases Insulin receptor sensitivity and enhances
glucose uptake into muscle cells and out of the blood stream.
Vital Formulations uses ChromeMate, a patented form of Chromium
Polyniacinate because it is 311% better retained than Chromium
Picolinate and 672% better retained than Chromium Chloride.
It has been shown to decrease fasting glucose levels, improve
glucose tolerance, lower insulin levels, and decrease Total
Cholesterol and Triglyceride levels, while at the same time
raising HDL Cholesterol levels.
