US to get only half of the 2004-2005 Flu Vaccine
On
October
5,
2004,
the
Centers
for
Disease
Control
and
Prevention
was
notified
that
none
of
the
50
million
doses
of
this
year’s
influenza
vaccine
Fluvirin®,
manufactured
by
Chiron
Corporation,
would
be
available
for
distribution
in
the
United
States.
This
will
reduce
by
approximately
one
half
the
expected
supply
of
the
flu
shot
available
in
the
United
States
for
the
2004-05
influenza
season.

Don't
Get The Flu Shot
If
you are able to find the Flu Shot, Dr. Hansen warns,
the flu shot side effects include, fever, chills,
or a general sense of malaise, that lasts one to
two days and will occur in about 1% of the population,
