QUESTION: I have your tapeon Grape Seed Extract and the benifits of it, and listen to it reguarly. I have recently been discussing with a friend the benefits of GSE Ultra 110 and its use with preventing or reversing glaucoma. I am unable to find any of this information on your site regarding this. Thanks for your email. I am glad that you have found my information about Grape Seed Extract (GSE) helpful. It is truly amazing. I discovered that Grape Seed Extract reduced eye pressure serendipitously when I prescribed it to a patient for his jumpy legs. His jumpy legs resolved and his eye pressure normalized. His Ophthalmologist was quite impressed by the quick results.

Subsequent research has shown that GSE works by inhibiting collagen destroying enzymes known as Matrix Metallo-Proteinases (MMPs), that damage the drain in the eye (Canal of Schlemm) and prevent normal out flow and recycling of fluid of the eye. As the fluid builds up, so does the eye pressure. GSE prevents the hardening of this collagen drain in the eye and restores the flexibility that allows the eye to remove the old eye fluid and replace it with new fluid.
