Blue Fingertips
QUESTION:
I
am writting about a 78 year old mother experiencing a month of dragging
and now blue fingertips. She is seeing medical help. EKG and first
round of bloodwork didn't substantiate anything. Is now taking something
like Nifedipine. More blood tests awaiting results. Paperwork looks
at "Poasculitis"? Does this ring any bells. Would you
think the lethargy and fingertips sound related? Has been taking
glusonomine for years. Takes Zantex liberally, has a nitecap daily,
and regular vitimins. Any thoughts? Thanks. Lyn
ANSWER:
Dear Lyn, Thanks for your inquiry. Lethargy & Fatigue associated
with blueness of the fingertips may be associated with circulatory
insufficiency. The Zantac and alcohol may be aggravating this conditon.
In my clinic, for patients with similar symptoms, I prescribe the
following:
- Optimum
Vitality (boosts mood, energy, improves circulation):
1 Capsule 3 tmes daily
-
GSE Ultra 110
(antioxidant that improves circulation and heals stomach lining):
1 Capsule twice daily
- Pepteal
(Gastrointestinal Formula: heals lining of stomach
- I use this instead of Zantac): 1 Capsule 3 times daily
- Cuprum
6C (Homeopathic Remedy for Copper imbalances that are associated
with blueness and fatigue)
The Cuprum you will have to order from a homeopathic pharmacy
or my clinic after being established as a patient, for more
info click here.
For more information about the first three supplements, please
click on the links above. These may be ordered through this
website.
If this person
was my patient, I would certainly recommend that she stop drinking
all alcoholic beverages, with the possible exception of one glass
of red wine per day. I would also get them off of Zantac as soon
as possible, once this regimen reduced the nausea or burning in
the stomach.
Best in health,
Dr. Hansen
