Adult ADHD

QUESTION: Dr Hansen... Do you recommend adults taking Acuity? My brother, age 53, thinks he has focus problems and would like to try something. Thank you for your help. Thank you, Janet

ANSWER: Dear Janet,

Thanks for your inquiry. Acuity can be used by adults as well as children. However, Acuity is designed for Children. An Adult would need to take 3-5 Capsules twice daily. For adults, I typically recommend another product, named Tranquil Clarity, in a dose of 1 capsule twice daily and specific amino acid therapy based on laboratory testing. For more information about Tranquil Clarity, please click here.

Attention and Focus problems in children and adults are usually related to stress induced imbalance of the brain's neurotransmitters. In my clinic we evaluate all of the other possible medical conditions that could share similar symptoms and we test for the specific neurohormones related to mood and attention, including Serotonin, Dopamine, Norepinephrine, and Epinephrine (commonly knonwn as Adrenaline).

In my clinic, I prescribe nutritional supplements that correct the neurohormonal imbalances in patients with ADHD. I have had remarkable success with both children and adults.
