QUESTION:
I am taking ortho-tricyclen
for acne right now. Would it wack out
my hormones to take Saw Palmetto along with my birth control. I
am also
losing hair from a side effect of Accutane It grows right
back but I lose
so much that my hair is constantly different lengths. Please help
me if you
can! :) Thank you so much, Gabrielle
ANSWER:
Thanks
for you inquiry. I would definitely recommend that you take
Saw Palmetto, also known as Serenoa, for your acne and that
you NOT take any
Birth Control Pill (BCP), because the estradiol in BCPs will raise
your risk
of breast and uterine cancer.
Acne is most
frequently due to excessive amounts of sugar and/or fats in
the diet, hormone imbalances, skin sensitivities to food dyes and/or
intestinal flora imbalance. For my patients at my clinic I recommend
testing
the hormones Estrogen, Progesterone and Testosterone.
You can order
the hormone test from my website. For more information, please

For Acne treatment
I recommend the following:
- Eliminate
all sugars and white refined flour, including candies, cookies,
pastries and white bread, etc.; elimation or reduction of beef
and all
dairy: both should not be eaten more than once per week
- Serenoa (Saw
Palmetto) (blocks the excessive Di-Hydro-Testosterone that
causes Acne): 1 capsule twice daily.
- PhytoBiotic
(natural antibiotic): 2 Capsules twice daily, for 3 months.
- Naturally
Clear Scrub (Natural Cleansing Scrub): Scrub once nightly
- Naturally
Clear Spray (Vitamin B3-Niacin Anti-inflammatory topical
Spray): Apply once nightly after Scrub.
- Progonal
(Natural Progesterone Moisturizing Cream): Apply 1/4 tsp to face
nightly, after steps 4 & 5
- Peak
Advantage (High Potency Multi-Vitamin Mineral Formula):
Take 2
Capsules 3 times daily with meals.
